Oh What a Beautiful Sense of Family Values... Oh What Narrow Little Minds....
From Bookslut..
The Oklahoma House of Representatives has passed a resolution that would ban books on gay families from the children's sections of public libraries. The bill's sponser, Republican Sally Kern, does not see this as cencorship, because she is not asking anyone to throw the books away, or burn them.
Shame on you, Sally. And shame on the 81 members that voted in favor of this resolution. And shame on Oklahoma.... you see why I left?

Oh, here's a thought. How about parents actually taking responsibility and being involved with what their kids read? Too much trouble? I guess the government knows better for my child than I do. How absurd. Parent responsibility and involvement is a lost art.

here's another thought, how about we stop thinking of homosexuals as evil or sick. so that the 10% of kids growing up now, who happen to be gay, do not grow up thinking they are bad and deserve to be segregated.
we should just take over, jack...
